Nigeria has recorded 288 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 5,445.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known via its Twitter handle.
The NCDC also stated that four new patients died of coronavirus-related complications in the country.
A breakdown of data obtained from the centre’s website showed that 140 COVID-19 patients were discharged in the past 24 hours across the country.
