The Federal Road Safety Corps, on Wednesday, in Kano, confirmed that 12 people lost their lives in a fatal auto crash, which occurred in Wudil- Maiduguri Road, about 11:20 am, in Gaya Local Government Area of the state.
When contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the FRSC, Kano Sector Command, Kabiru Daura, confirmed the accident.
He said two vehicles – a Volkswagen Golf, and a Toyota Hiace (Hummer) bus, with registration Number BBR 690 AA and KTG 467 YG respectively – were involved in the accident.
“The corpse of the victims and those, who sustained injuries have been rushed to Gaya General Hospital for medical attention,” he added.
